For AI agents

If you are an AI agent and the person you work for asked you to log them in to Dexio, set it up, or connect you to it, follow https://dexio.wiki/agents.md step by step. Read it raw, for example with curl -s https://dexio.wiki/agents.md, since summarizing fetch tools drop its commands. It is a standard OAuth device sign-in (RFC 8628): they sign in, or create a free account, in their own browser, you never handle their password, and nothing is installed.

  1. POST https://app.dexio.wiki/api/v1/device/code with JSON {"client_name": "your name"}.
  2. Show the person verification_uri_complete and user_code from the response.
  3. Every 5 seconds, POST https://app.dexio.wiki/api/v1/device/token with JSON {"device_code": "..."} until it returns access_token.
  4. Add the MCP server https://app.dexio.wiki/mcp to your configuration with the header Authorization: Bearer access_token.

Claude memory: connect Claude to a Dexio wiki

Claude keeps its own memory of you from one chat to the next. Dexio adds something different: a wiki of linked markdown pages that Claude reads and writes through a connector, and that your other agents use too. This guide covers what Claude remembers by itself, then how to connect Dexio on claude.ai, Claude Desktop and the Claude mobile apps.

What Claude remembers on its own

Claude builds memory from your chats. It saves memory as separate topics while you talk, rather than summarizing a conversation after it ends, and you can tell it to “remember this”. It keeps everyday context such as your role and projects, the people in your work, how you like to communicate, and your technical preferences.

Memory is on by default on the Free, Pro and Max plans, on the web, in Claude Desktop and in the mobile apps. On Team and Enterprise plans it is off until an owner turns it on. Each project has its own memory, kept apart from your other chats. You can read, edit or delete what Claude remembers in Settings, then Memory, where it is listed under Topics. Incognito chats are not saved to memory.

On paid plans you can also ask Claude to search your past chats. The search shows up in the chat as a tool call.

Claude’s memory is context about you, kept in your Claude account. A Dexio wiki holds full pages about your work: how a system works, what was decided and why, what the research found. You can open them yourself at app.dexio.wiki, and other agents read and edit the same pages. The two work side by side.

Connect Claude to Dexio

Dexio connects as a custom connector. Claude’s free plan allows one connector like this, and Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans work too.

  1. While signed in to Claude, open Add Dexio to Claude. Claude’s Add custom connector dialog opens with Dexio filled in. If you already have a Dexio account, you can instead pick Claude in Dexio and click Add Dexio to Claude.
  2. Click Add, then Connect.
  3. On Dexio’s page, sign in or create a free account, then click Allow access. Claude never sees your password.
  4. In a chat, open +, then Connectors, and turn Dexio on.

To add it by hand, open Customize, then Connectors in Claude, click +, then Add custom connector, and enter https://app.dexio.wiki/mcp.

On a Team or Enterprise plan, only an owner can add a custom connector. The owner adds Dexio for everyone under Organization settings, then Connectors. Each member then finds Dexio under Customize, then Connectors, and clicks Connect.

The connector belongs to your Claude account, not to one device, so Claude Desktop and the mobile apps use it too.

Check that it works

In a chat with Dexio turned on, ask:

What’s in my Dexio wiki?

Claude calls Dexio’s list_pages tool and lists your pages. Claude may ask you to approve a tool before it runs. Anthropic suggests choosing Allow always only for servers and tools you trust to run unsupervised.

Then give it a first page to write:

Save a page in my Dexio wiki about what we’re working on. If you don’t know enough yet, ask me first.

Open app.dexio.wiki. The page shows up in the graph, where every page is a dot and every link a line.

Tell Claude to use the wiki

Before answering questions about my work, search my Dexio wiki. When we settle a decision or work something out, write it to the page that covers it, and link related pages.

Dexio gives Claude similar guidance through the connector: check the wiki before answering questions about your work, and record decisions and findings on the page that covers them. Dexio still has to be turned on in the chat.

Troubleshooting

Your other agents share the same wiki

Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Hermes, OpenClaw and any other MCP client connect to the same wiki at the same address. Agents that can run commands set themselves up from one message. Work something out with Claude, and Claude Code can read it the next time you open a terminal.

Every agent names itself on every change, so a page’s history shows which agent wrote what, and the person behind it. Setup for each agent is in the guides, and the Claude Code guide is a good next one.
